About Us....
Drivers training is a six-hour course and takes three days to complete.  Drivers education at Ricardo's Driving School is a 30-hour instructional course mandated for teen drivers.  It is conducted over a two-weekend period (four days).  The basic assumption of our course is that Driving Involves RISK.  The risk varies according to the characteristics of the driver such as age, gender, and on-the-road experience.  We believe, therefore, that all young men and women we serve must be equipped with sound driving knowledge to last a life time.  Your teenager will be made aware of all the dangers and challenges of driving.  Our school also recognizes that teenagers are at a greater risk than any other age group.  For example, in a recent report, there were 35 police reported accidents per 100 sixteen year-old drivers, compared to 11 per 100 in the general driving public, even though teenagers, on an average, drive half the distance.  Amongst the many objectives of our course is, therefore, the teaching of risk reduction techniques.  A person dies in a motor vehicle crash every 13 minutes.  Every year, there are over 6.8 million police reported traffic crashes in the United States in which over 40,000 people get killed and over 3.5 million are injured.  Our course seeks to teach the laws - both natural and man made - governing all driving activities.  Last but not least, the course strives to achieve the main goal of instilling sufficient knowledge about driving to last a life time.   A secondary, but perhaps more immediate, goal is to prepare students for both written and on-the-road tests designed to gauge individual skill levels, as well as instil knowledge of the rules of driving in the state of California.
